    Winnebago County Term Limits Survey

    This survey applies only to elected Winnebago County, Illinois officials, including:
    Auditor
    Circuit Clerk
    Coroner

    County Clerk
    County Board Chairman
    Recorder
    Sheriff
    ​State's Attorney
    Treasurer
    County Board Member


    I encourage you to read the other pages on this site to learn what would be involved in making this happen. The proposal is to change Illinois state law to allow voters to choose term limits for each unit of government, in this case, the county. Legislators downstate might be more likely to pass the law if we could pick and choose which local governments are subject to term limits, and not have term limits universally applied to all governments.
