Why Ask the Question?

Many people seem to be interested in term limits as a way of breaking down concentrated political power. I believe the power is in the money that drives elections, and the money will not go away; it will simply be shifted to other politicians. Term limits could be a good first start though.

The basic premise: measure the popularity of term limits in Winnebago County, Illinois. If popular, submit legislation and or constitutional reform that would allow individual units of government in Illinois to establish term limits. Read more about this on the Mission page.
